Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Psalm 127:1
The New York City Church of Christ hosted a powerful weekend of
spiritual enrichment entitled “Unless the Lord Builds the House” (Psalm
127:1). Featuring inspiring classes and dynamic fellowship,
parents (young & old), single adults and college students were
inspired to reclaim ownership of their families and relationships with
God.
In our world today, the fad is to find shortcuts for everything.
We search high and low for food, shopping and even dating conveniences.
Moreover, this ultra-convenient mentality has also bled into the
foundational levels of our churches and homes. May we not turn to the
world for guidance on spiritual things, rather, let’s allow the Lord to
build our house, “lest our builders labor in vain” (Psalm 127:1b).

Since their graduation both surrendered their plans to God and decided to serve in the full-time ministry of the Los Angeles Church of Christ. They were married shortly after and have been leading ministries together for over a decade.
