  • Teen Camp 2010: The Bond PDF Print E-mail
    By Damon Curtis
    Wednesday, March 17, 2010

teencampmainlogo1.jpgThe theme for the upcoming 2010 Teen B.A.S.H. is “The Bond”. The scripture tells us in Ephesians 4:3 that we need to “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

Today, we live in a society where uniting young people through God’s Word is a rarity. Our Youth are spending less time reading the bible, and are becoming less engaged in activities that deepen their biblical literacy. For many, faith views are adopted on the basis of self-evaluation, observation and dialogue among other peers rather than through biblical principles. So how are we to be united if we do not have the Word of God as our common denominator?

In a changing world where the line between fact and fiction can often feel unclear, many choose the illusion. Many choose to live in a conveniently created circumstance rather than to face the realities life. Yet while some live alone in their own virtual reality, there are those who choose to stand tall and fight – Who are unafraid to face the real world because of the bond they share with their Father.

Sooner or later we all have to make a choice.Sooner or later, we all have to wake up.

It is our prayer that at the 2010 Teen B.A.S.H the Holy Spirit will unite our hearts and bond our souls through the common ground of God’s powerful Word! We want our youth to embrace the Holy Spirit as their advocate and counselor, who can bring them peace and great healing throughout these turbulent years.
